Join us build upon the future workforce of health care by partnering with Cal-HOSA, a student-led organization for middle school, high school, and postsecondary students, interested in careers in the health and mental health professions. More than 8,500 California students from more than 190 schools are members of Cal-HOSA, which also serves as a prevention and early intervention model for keeping students from dropping out, and early identification of health/behavioral health problems.
In order to continue providing California’s diverse student population opportunities to enter our growing health and mental health care fields, we need to expand our network of partners to contribute in various ways – as mentors, as internship hosts, as donors, and as organizational leaders. Here is what we do and how you can become involved:
“HOSA motivates us to do better, to expect more of ourselves to be successful in the medical field.”
“HOSA taught me about leadership roles…community service…working together with others. It is not just competition. I love going out to the community [after competing] and teaching the community…without HOSA, I wouldn’t be the person I am right now.”
“The students who attend the HOSA State Leadership Conference work hard and I am so proud of the professional development and leadership growth I [have] witnessed in each of them.”
“HOSA gives young people [the tools] they need to…make them agents of change in their community.”
