Are you a graduating senior from a secondary HOSA chapter?  If you are, do you plan on continuing your HOSA membership at the collegiate level?  If so, California HOSA calls you to action.   This is an opportunity to enact your HOSA leadership within as a chapter start-up leader!

As a chapter start-up leader, you will have the valuable opportunity to found and establish an exceptional student organization at your respective college/university.  HOSA-Future Health Professionals is 100% healthcare; however, you should not limit your chapter membership only to pre-health majors.  HOSA also benefits those still considering whether or not to pursue a health career and HOSA membership can help provide opportunities to explore careers in healthcare.  College students change their majors often, however, regardless of the chosen major, student can still find opportunities and success within HOSA.

Wondering how to get started?

First, research the current student organizations and identify whether or not HOSA or a pre-health student organization already exists on your campus.

While speaking to students about what HOSA can provide, in addition to “competition,” also mention leadership opportunities unique to HOSA, for example, opportunities like the partnerships with the Medical Reserve Corps and Public Health Service.

Ultimately, the guide titled “How to Start a Postsecondary/Collegiate HOSA Chapter” will provide you everything you need to get HOSA up and running at your school!  To access this guide, download it here:
